This is great i have never heard of the Onion, but this is really hilarious about the crying Jesus statue. People only see what the want to see, its quite laughable really. I love the verses you chose for this especially johns advice in 1 john 5:21 guard your-selves from idols. Thats what is exactly going on these people are worshiping idols (that crying Jesus statue) very appropriate when you said "so what?" exactly. So what if there was a crying Jesus statue i guess we should go worship it now...haha.

Im going to have to check out this satirical news magazine.

Very cool synopsis & commentary, Rick. I think the video doesn't make it clear that the "picketing" (and thus, the identity of family members involved) actually occurred a week after the discussion about the police investigation -- in other words, nobody at the time knew for sure the family's involvement until they came out & stood on the street.

It is worthwhile. It's so worthwhile to do this work, no matter how much opposition or criticism may be launched. People are grateful, too. That's the part the critic(s) somehow overlook.

Thanks for taking the time to clear this up. It was a controversy over there at Video Heads ( http://videos.neoblogs.org )

I really appreciate you addressing this, Rick. I have noticed a few people taking issue with the video and saying that it is making things worse, and only adding gas to the fire, etc. I think you articulated this really well, and I certainly hope that anyone who views the video is impressed for sure, but impressed by the fact that it was for freedom Christ set us free.

These quotes were from a little booklet that came from the study package on Intelligent Design that came with my purchase of the movie "Expelled - No Intelligence Allowed". Did you see that yet? I thought Ben Stein did a great job.

Very nice quotes, Rick. Thanks for taking the time to post them. I especially like Lincoln's - he's hilarious.

I like these, my favorite is the Lincoln one. I dont know why, just stands out more. I think its interesting that you never hear who was a christian in history classes or science classes or art classes or (insert here) classes. Cause they are/were everywhere in those fields. I wonder what all fields we are all now? And how are we doing affecting all these fields?

Maybe you know this and I'm just getting the tone of your blog wrong, but the Onion is fake news, just satire.
